今日私はリンゴの木を植える / I would still plant my apple tree

こんにちは。

虫は全然怖くない、葉です。

たとえ明日世界が滅亡しようとも、今日私はリンゴの木を植える。

私の地元は、林業が盛んです。そして、父も林業を営んでいます。

子供の頃、父から聞いた事があります。「今植えている木が売り物になる程成長するには最低でも数十年掛かると。だから、自分で植えた木が自分が生きているうちに自分の収入にはならない。今自分が切っている木は、先祖が植えた木なのだと。」

子供だった私は、自分が労働した分の対価の得られない仕事だと思いビックリしたのを覚えています。

それでも何故、自分が生きている間に対価を得られない木を植えるのか。

それは、次の世代（子ども）のためです。

そして、何世代も先の子孫のためです。

ヒーラー活動を始めようと思った時、私の生まれた使命だと感じた事。

それは、

「Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.（たとえ明日世界が滅亡しようとも、今日私はリンゴの木を植える）」

自分の家族や子どものため、そして子孫のために何かの木（種）を植えて行こうと思います。

直接的でなくとも　いつか廻り回って　子どもたちに　今よりより良い世界が　訪れる事を願って。

In my hometown, the forestry industry is thriving and my father is a forest man.

He told me when I was a child, “It will take at least a few decades for the trees you are planting now to grow to the point where they are for sale. Therefore, the trees you plant will not be your income while you are alive. The tree I’m cutting now is the tree my ancestors planted.”

I remember being surprised at the thought that his work was not paid for while he alive.

Why he plants trees without quick remuneration?

It is for the sake of the next generation and for the descendants of many generations ahead.

I started to believe that “My calling” is,
“Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.”
for my children, family and friends.

Even if it doesn’t happen now, I hope that someday the world around my children will be better.
